Our story

We were students too.

We both went to Manchester. We know the difference between a house that is just somewhere to sleep, and a house that becomes the year — the kitchen table, the people, the feeling that someone actually cares about the place.

Hestia is a small buy-to-let in Headingley: two student houses, looked after by the two of us. We are deliberately small. That means you get landlords who know the property, reply themselves, and want the house to be a good one to live in.

If you are looking for a faceless portfolio with a hundred keys on a ring, this is not that. If you want a friendly student house and people you can put a face to — that is us.

Shops, cafés, bars and the famous Otley Run — Headingley is one of the most social student areas in the country.

Close to both unis

Handy for Leeds Beckett's Headingley campus and a straightforward bus or bike into the University of Leeds.

Parks, the stadium, Hyde Park around the corner, and a house that is part of a street — not a block of corridors.

No call centre, no letting agent in the middle. If something is wrong, you message Scott or Rob.

It should feel like a house

We were students in Manchester. We know the difference a social, well-looked-after house makes to a year.

Things get fixed

A good student house is one where the heating works, the wifi holds, and you are not chasing anyone for a week.

Small on purpose

Two houses. That is the point. We can actually know the people living in them.

Who do we actually deal with?

Scott and Rob. We own the houses and we manage them. There is no agency layer.

Are the houses available?

Availability changes with the academic year. Get in touch and we will tell you honestly where things stand.

Can we come and view?

Yes. We would rather you see the house and meet us than book from a listing.

What is included?

We will spell out furniture, wifi, bills and anything else house by house. Nothing buried in the small print.

What if something breaks?

You message us. That is the whole idea of being small landlords rather than a portfolio with a ticket system.
